I would guess Sheringham would make a better caretaker than walrus's two assistants because he's more likely to get the team playing positively in the short term. However he is unlikely to want the job permanently because of his lifestyle and preference for a short working week.
I'm not even sure he has the requisite coaching licence for PL managers?
Better if walrus gets the bum's rush post Chelsea and Arsenal though.

No! Do we want his ideal type of hump and hope football with aging players and mid table safety??? Many managers can guarantee mid table safety. Or do we want to progress, buy young, promote the youth, embrace the academy (you can do this AND stay in the Prem you know!!!
Oh, it's a risk to get rid of allardyce?? Tell that to Southampton who sacked Adkins and went on to greater success with their risk appointment! Then took another risk appointment and are now experiencing their best season in decades with a team created last summer... and not for millions of pounds despite receiving nearly a 100 mil in sales!!
Get rid, move on, progress, take a risk!! I'm bored of everything BFS stands for! Lets see if he gets the job he deserves managing Madrid! I'm sure he'd fail to win anything there given the chance!!

I was thinking about teddy being caretaker. My concern is there's a clamour then to put him in the job full time and we end up with another roder and Zola appointment of one good season one bad.

Yeah, he pissed me off a bit when he fucked-off to Everton for more dosh but that was near-on two decades ago now...
He's a very bright bloke, is passionate, still young and likes his teams to play football... He's done well in management so far as well...
He knows what this club is about and I bet that he has good contacts and can attract quality players throughout Europe to our club...
